ROD STEWART TO PARIS HILTON: QUIT THE DRUGS
During a recent interview with the U.K.'s Telegraph, Rod Stewart chimed in on Paris Hilton and her recent issues, telling her to "give up the drugs." The rocker's daughter Kim Stewart was once good friends with Hilton, but it's clear from the interview that they two no longer see each other.
Stewart had some nice things to say about Hilton, but also sounds worried for her, noting, "She is a lovely girl. I've always found her tremendously polite and very respectful, but, you know, it's time to move on perhaps, give up the drugs." He added, "You know move on, there's other things, you don't need 'em. She's a beautiful girl. We've all done it, but I've never been a druggie sort of person so I've always been against it."
Hilton and her boyfriend Cy Waits were in Las Vegas when they were pulled over by cops who suspected marijuana smoke had been coming from the car's windows. The ended up finding a bag of cocaine in Hilton's purse. She has since said the purse wasn't hers, and then later said she thought it was gum. Both Hilton was charged with felony drug possession.
Meanwhile, after his next child is born don't expect any additional Rod Stewart offspring. His 39-year-old wife, Penny Lancaster, is pregnant, but this will likely be their last kid together. The 65-year-old singer told Australia's Channel 9 News, "I'm very happy but it will be the last. I can't have any more kids, otherwise I'll be touring until I'm 90." But he won't get a vasectomy as he still wants "his bits to work."
Lancaster and Stewart -- who have been together for more than 10 years -- had their first child together, Alastair, in 2005.
JORDIN SPARKS BACK ON STAGE THIS WEEK AFTER INJURING HER HIP
Jordin Sparks returns to the Broadway stage this week after missing a batch of In The Heights performances due to an injured hip. According to Playbill.com, she was under doctor's orders to rest. Sparks' understudy had to fill in, and as the American Idol alum tweeted earlier this week, "At the Dr 4 ths dang hip! Hopefully I'll be back asap! I miss the cast & the stage! I went crazy ystrday having 2 stay off of it!"
We caught up with Sparks while on tour this summer -- prior to her debut on Broadway last month. At the time she told us that she was worried about the rigors of performing: "Being on this tour is definitely helping me with the stanima part because being on Broadway is going to be totally different. I mean it's going to be a two-hour show every night for eight times a week. Ah. Which is going to be super insane. It's not like my regular tour where do my show, sing an hour and then I have a day off. It's every single night we're going to be having a show, and it's going to be pretty intense."
In The Heights follows three days in the Washington Heights area of New York City.
Sparks portrays Nina Rosario, the daughter of Kevin and Camila. She is the first to go to college -- Stanford University -- and nearly everyone in the neighborhood admires her. But she hits some trouble along the way.
Sparks' stint is expected to end on November 14th.

She confirmed the story, tweeting, "Yes it's true . . . I was born to be claret and blue . . . At least me hair dye is! :)"
Meanwhile, Perry must be feeling on top of the world this week. She arguably has the song of the summer with "California Gurls," has a Number One album on her hands with Teenage Dream and is about to tie the knot.
MEAT LOAF TALKS 'PEACE ON EARTH'
Meat Loaf is out with his latest album, Hang Cool Teddy Bear, featuring the single, "Peace on Earth." We recently asked him about the track and its meaning: "I mean, it's such a strong powerful song about war, and you could use it as a liberal. You could use it as a conservative. You could use it as an independent. You could use it for war. You could use it against war. And it's not riding the fence; it's just telling you what's going on and how people feel about it. 'Peace on Earth' is an extraordinary piece of music."
Among the guest stars featured on the album are Brian May, Steve Vai, Jack Black, House actor Hugh Laurie and others.
The set features songs co-written by Jon Bon Jovi, Kara DioGuardi and others.
Meat Loaf's new album is based around a story written by screenwriter/director Killian Kerwin about "a wounded soldier who flashes forward to a life that might have been."
