DEF LEPPARD - POISON TOUR HAPPENING THIS SUMMER

It's official, Def Leppard and Poison will be hitting the road together for a joint tour, according to Ultimate Classic Rock. Leppard guitarist Phil Collen had first mentioned that the band, and either Poison or frontman Bret Michaels on his own, would be hitting the road together, but Poison drummer Rikki Rockett posted that the tour was indeed happening. No dates have been announced. Collen had said that he had hoped that Twisted Sister might be added to the bill to round out the tour of bands that have their music featured in the upcoming Rock Of Ages movie, but so far no mention of their involvement has been mentioned.

Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott says that the band won't be playing new unreleased material on tour: "Nowadays we play one song, it's gonna be on YouTube two minutes later. And it's gonna be. . . Everyone is gonna know it that cares about it, six months before the thing comes out."

He also says that even when the material has been released, it isn't always familiar enough to put into their set list: "We'd love to play some new songs, but at the same time, we're also aware of the fact that (even) when you play new songs that are actually out and available, they sometimes die on stage. Just not enough people know them yet."

Bret Michaels tour dates (subject to change):
February 9 - Beverly Hills, CA - Saban Theatre
February 18 - Hollywood, FL - Seminole Hard Rock Live
March 13 - Arlington Heights, IL - Metropolis Performing Arts Center
March 15 - Dubuque, IA - Mississippi Moon Bar
September 22 - Ocean City, MD - Sunfest at Ocean City Inlet

HAS RUSSELL BRAND MOVED ON FROM KATY PERRY?

Russell Brand may have moved on to a Katy Perry look-alike. According to OK! Magazine, Russell is reportedly pursuing Zoey Deschanel. Reportedly, the pair have been corresponding over text message for weeks.

A source said, "Russell is a big fan of Zooey and would love to work with her in the future. He's been in contact, asking to meet up. He thinks she's hysterically funny and cute, too. He loves her quirky sense of humor. There seems to be a spark there. Zooey doesn't know whether she'll meet up with Russell yet. She's still recovering from the breakdown of her own marriage."

Zooey split from her husband of two years, Ben Gibbard, in November.

Russell filed for divorce from Katy at the end of December.

Reportedly, Zooey is aware that she looks a lot like Katy. Zooey even admitted to Allure magazine that fans have actually mistaken her for the singer.

HILARY DUFF'S BABY SHOWER

Oh boy! Or girl? On Sunday (February 5), Hilary Duff celebrated at the baby shower her older sister, Haylie and mother, Susan, threw for her. Hilary, who is expecting her first child with husband Mike Comrie, celebrated with 40 to 50 people at the Duff house in Los Angeles. According to Us Magazine, Hilary had a great time.

Hilary tweeted, "What an amazing day! This baby is spoiled already! And this mama is wiped out! So grateful for all my friends and family that love and support me through all these huge milestones in my life! Such special memories today!"

IS CHRISTINA AGUILERA RUINING 'THE VOICE?'

Christina Aguilera's fuller figure is reportedly causing problems for her other The Voice mentors. According to the National Enquirer, Christina wants every shot to make her look as skinny as possible -- sometimes retaking scenes to make sure she is featured at the right angle.

A source said, "Christina holds up production with her constant demands, saying, 'Don't make me look fat' or 'Don't show my butt.' She's insisted the cameramen only shoot her at flattering angles, forcing a few segments to be reshot. She also demands that the stylists bring her the latest slimming fashions, and she's always ordering the makeup artists to make her face look thinner."

Reportedly, her co-mentor, Adam Levine gets extremely upset about this. The source said, "Blake and Cee Lo get annoyed at Christina's silly requests, but Adam really can't stand it. He's the first one to say that she's unprofessional and producers shouldn't reshoot takes just because she doesn't like how she looks."

JAMES TAYLOR HITTING THE ROAD FOR 16-CITY SUMMER TREK

James Taylor has announced the dates for his upcoming North American tour, which will kick off on June 20th in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and run through July 23rd in Morrison, Colorado. Taylor's official website (JamesTaylor.com) posted that a special selection of VIP Charity Seats are available for these shows to benefit the Natural Resources Defense Council and other national and local charities through Tickets-for-Charity! To learn more, check out TicketsForCharity.com.

Although Taylor has written classic after classic throughout his career, he admitted that spotting a hit has always proven impossible for him: "I've given up, really, on trying to figure out what's commercial and try to be strategic that way. I'm always wrong, so I figured I'd go with what I liked, and, y'know, it's been gratifying to hear it picked up."

Songwriter Lamont Dozier told us that he thinks Taylor's 1975 cover of "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)" actually outdid Marvin Gaye's original version: "That's my favorite. What he did to 'How Sweet It Is,' I mean he took that song and made it his own, you know? He just stole it from Marvin."

James Taylor kicks off his European dates on May 6th in Naples, Italy.
